Expanding Vescom Purefin: a new generation of wallcovering for well-being

Recognising that the right materials can transform interiors into quiet, comfortable and healthy spaces that both feel good and do good, we’re building on our Purefin collection: non-vinyl wallcovering that aligns material innovation with human and environmental well-being.

Following the initial introduction of Lynn and Concreed, we’ve added three new designs – Linwood, Norwood and Flax – to the growing Purefin collection, strengthening its material story while adding more colour, variety and expression. As demands shift, so too will the materials we need. Vescom is committed to staying at the forefront of this change by expanding the Purefin collection with new designs for the interiors of tomorrow.

Linwood, Norwood and Flax mark the next chapter in an evolving collection of non-vinyl wallcovering that feels good and does good.

What is Vescom Purefin?

Vescom Purefin is a new generation of wallcovering that’s as responsible as it is resonant. Combining aesthetics, durability and material consciousness, Purefin wallcovering is made in the Netherlands from a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) and synthetic rubber film, with a non-woven backing. Offering a distinct identity – soft to the eye, refined to the touch and resilient in use – it responds to the growing need for materials that not only perform but also elevate interiors visually, physically and ethically.

In an evolving industry, Purefin meets the demand for materials that fulfil today’s strictest performance, safety, sustainability and wellbeing standards. The wallcovering is designed to meet the demands of interior spaces that prioritise low emissions, longevity and a considered visual language.

New additions: Linwood, Norwood and Flax

In addition to its sustainability credentials, what sets Purefin apart is its material expression. Following the grounded simplicity of Concreed and the linen-like softness of Lynn, the latest additions – Linwood, Norwood and Flax – expand the Purefin range with larger variety in colour, scale, and look and feel. They’re irregular, nuanced and tactile. With surfaces that evoke hand-applied textures, woven fibres or pressed plant matter, they offer a crafted, matte aesthetic that stands in clear contrast to typical high-performance wallcoverings.

Purefin’s palette leans into natural, timeless tones that echo the sustainability story behind the wallcovering. Through innovative engineering, we’ve created this visual richness using just a single film colour – achieving maximum variety while minimising environmental impact.

Crafted for well-being

Linwood: crafted and approachable

With a tactile surface that resembles painted hessian or handwoven textiles, Linwood brings a crafted character to the wall. Its irregular, block-like structure feels organic and artisanal – more painterly than precise – calling to mind coarse canvas, aged plaster and the sculpted texture of thickly layered paint. The matte, chalky finish reinforces its natural, handcrafted appeal and lends the design a calm, homelike atmosphere.

Understated colours to suit serene, grounded interiors

The loosely gridded layout creates a subtle tile-like impression, while each shade offers depth through delicate tonal shifts. The palette draws from softened natural references – sandy neutrals, powdery blues, misty greys and weathered greenish hues – all understated to suit serene, grounded interiors. Linwood’s palette combines harmoniously with Lynn, which shares many of the same muted, natural tones. Together, they offer a subtle contrast of surface – one soft and linen-like, the other structured and artisanal – for creating layered interiors.

Norwood: subtle yet structured

Inspired by the vertical textures of bamboo and reeds, Norwood channels these natural elements into a calm, composed architectural grain. A soft embossment adds depth and quiet tactility, enhancing the design’s meditative character. Minimal yet expressive with a gentle linear quality, its surface feels grounded and Zen-like, bringing stillness to spaces.

Each design features layered tones that build dimension and visual softness, echoing the variegated character of natural materials. The muted palette blends fresh grassy greens, warm and cool neutrals, and washed woody hues – all understated and serene. The results radiate balance, warmth and elegance.

Flax: woven and tactile

Embracing the beauty of raw, natural materials, Flax recalls dried grasses and handwoven plant fibres. Bringing warmth and authenticity to any space, the design captures the tactile richness and beautiful imperfections found in traditional craftsmanship. Reflecting the rhythm of nature, it lends walls an organic quality that feels both rustic and refined.

The extensive palette embraces a wide spectrum of soft, earthy tones inspired by pressed flowers, straw, sun-dried leaves and shifting autumnal hues – from warm rusts and blush beiges to leafy greens and stone greys. Subtle colour variations within each tone enhance the sense of depth and dimensionality.
